Reflect: Imagine that people are like fish, wanting to follow the group. Why does it feel so uncomfortable going against what everyone is doing or what is perceived as popular? In what situations would it be a good idea to conform? How can conforming to certain groups shape your future (positively and negatively)? When should you decide to go against the crowd?
Quote 2:
Reflect: Why do you think this is called the "growth mindset"? Notice that there are alternatives for negative and positive statements. How would the alternative to the positive statements help you grow more? There is one statement with another alternative that is left off of this chart... I'm not good at this. Changed to... I'm not good at this YET. The addition of that one little word packs a powerful punch. How could it change the way you approach problems and how successful you are in the future?
Reflect: What does the last part of the quote mean? Could we choose between two realities? Describe a time when you could have viewed a situation very negatively but chose to view it from a more positive perspective. How did altering your point of view change your reality?
